A delicious and iconic sandwich made with thinly sliced beef, melted cheese, and sautéed onions, all served on a hoagie roll. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 100 grams mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 450 grams ribeye steak
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Add the sliced onions, green bell peppers, and mushrooms. Sauté until they are tender, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak and season with salt and black pepper.
Step 4
Cook the steak until it is browned, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 5
Return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet and mix them with the steak.
Step 6
Divide the steak and vegetable mixture into four portions in the skillet.
Step 7
Place two slices of provolone cheese over each portion and allow the cheese to melt.
Step 8
While the cheese is melting, slice the hoagie rolls and toast them if desired.
Step 9
Once the cheese has melted, use a spatula to transfer each portion of the steak and cheese mixture onto the hoagie rolls.
Step 10
Serve the Philly cheesesteaks hot and enjoy!
