Ingredients

  • 120 ml beef broth
  • 450 g beef sirloin
  • 300 g broccoli florets
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 15 g cornstarch
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 10 g ginger
  • 2 green onions
  • 5 ml sesame oil
  • 120 ml soy sauce
  • 30 ml vegetable oil
  • 60 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, beef broth, and brown sugar. Set aside.
Step 2
In another small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Set aside.
Step 3
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef slices and cook until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
Step 4
In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 5
Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
Step 6
Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Pour in the soy sauce mixture and bring to a simmer.
Step 7
Add the cornstarch mixture to the skillet and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
Step 8
Stir in sesame oil and green onions. Serve hot.
