A simplified version of the classic egg roll, this deconstructed dish is a quick and healthy meal option that combines all the flavors of an egg roll without the need for a wrapper. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 450 g cabbage
  • 2 carrots
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 4 green onions
  • 450 g ground pork
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha

Directions

Step 1
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground pork. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
Step 2
Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and cook for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.
Step 3
Stir in the shredded cabbage and carrots, and cook for another 5-7 minutes until vegetables are tender.
Step 4
Mix in the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and sriracha (if using). Cook for 2-3 more minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Step 5
Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
