  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 120 milliliters olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
In a medium bowl, whisk together minced garlic, egg yolk, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard until well combined.
Step 2
Slowly add the olive oil in a thin stream while continuously whisking to emulsify the mixture.
Step 3
Continue to whisk until the aioli thickens and all the oil has been incorporated.
Step 4
Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
Step 5
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
