Spam Musubi is a popular Hawaiian snack that consists of a slice of grilled Spam on top of rice, wrapped together with nori (seaweed). It's a delicious and portable treat that's perfect for lunch or a quick snack.
Directions
Step 1
Cook the rice according to the package instructions and keep it warm.
Step 2
Slice the Spam into 8 equal pieces.
Step 3
In a pan, combine soy sauce and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Step 4
Add the Spam slices to the pan and cook until both sides are caramelized.
Step 5
Cut the nori sheets into strips wide enough to wrap around the Spam and rice.
Step 6
Place a musubi mold on top of a nori strip, fill it with rice, and press down to compact it.
Step 7
Place a piece of Spam on top of the rice and press down again.
Step 8
Remove the mold and wrap the nori strip around the Spam and rice, sealing with a bit of water if necessary.
