Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 large onion
  • 0.5 teaspoons pepper
  • 6 large potatoes
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 cups water

Directions

Step 1
Peel and dice the potatoes. Chop the onion.
Step 2
In a large pot, add the potatoes, onion, and water. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.

In a separate pot, melt the butter over medium heat.

Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbly.

Gradually whisk in the milk, continuing to cook and stir until the mixture thickens.
