A simple and traditional Japanese miso soup recipe perfect for any meal. This comforting soup is made with a flavorful dashi broth, miso paste, tofu, and seaweed.

Ingredients

  • 1000 ml dashi broth
  • 2 green onions
  • 80 g miso paste
  • 200 g tofu
  • 5 g wakame seaweed

Directions

Step 1
In a medium pot, bring the dashi broth to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the miso paste, using a whisk or a spoon to dissolve it completely into the broth.
Step 3
Add the cubed tofu and dried wakame seaweed to the pot. Stir gently.
Step 4
Allow the soup to simmer for another 2-3 minutes, or until the tofu is heated through and the seaweed has expanded.
Step 5
Remove the pot from heat, and add the chopped green onions.
Step 6
Serve the miso soup hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
