Place the pork shoulder into the slow cooker.

Add the chopped onion, barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth.

Stir in the brown sugar, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.

Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
