  • 300 grams all-purpose flour
  • 5 grams baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 200 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 gram salt
  • 227 grams unsalted butter
  • 5 ml vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Step 3
In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
Step 4
Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until combined.
Step 5
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Step 6
Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 5 cm apart.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Step 8
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
