  • 10 grams baking powder
  • 135 grams cornmeal
  • 1 egg
  • 240 ml milk
  • 5 grams salt
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 60 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan or cast iron skillet.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, whisk together the beaten egg, milk, and vegetable oil.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
