A classic baked ziti recipe that's perfect for family dinners, featuring ziti pasta, rich marinara sauce, and melted cheese.
Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).

Cook ziti pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until translucent.

Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned.

Stir in marinara sauce, salt, black pepper, dried basil, and oregano. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, 300 g of shredded mozzarella, and half of the grated Parmesan cheese.

In a large baking dish, spread a layer of the meat sauce at the bottom.

Add a layer of cooked ziti pasta, followed by a layer of the ricotta cheese mixture.

Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of meat sauce.
